Christian Allyn, recently elected Canaan Selectman and owner of Invasive Plant Solutions, returned to Salisbury Rotary Club as its January 30 luncheon speaker, this time sharing his knowledge about the Japanese knotweed that is prevalent in Sheffield, MA, and now appearing in northwestern CT.  Plants have bamboo-like characteristics and range in height from about 5 feet to more than 20 feet.  Efforts by our local towns are underway to eradicate them.  The meeting was chaired by SRC past president, John Hedbavny.
