Salisbury Rotary Club held its annual Scholarships & Good Works Dinner on 8/20 at Noble Horizons.  Club President Randy Chapell hosted the evening that saw eleven local students each receive a $1000 scholarship, presented by the club’s Scholarship Committee Chair, Ann Beizer.  Charitable Gifts Committee Chair, John Hedbavny, introduced Lakeville Journal’s Executive Editor, Cynthia Hochswender, who presented Cordelia Schiller with the Bob Estabrook Intern Award, named for long-time SRC member & Past President of the Club who had a distinguished career in journalism, including the Washington Post and as Publisher of the Lakeville Journal.  He then announced checks being presented to nine local organizations in the towns served by the Club and to support three international projects.  The SRC is one of 60 clubs in District 7890, and among 1.2 million Rotary members in 130+ countries.
