Hunter Nelson, a Junior at Southern Connecticut and past president of Rotary's INTERACT club while at Housatonic Valley Regional H.S., spoke to our club about her commitment to "service above self" and hopes of volunteering in Costa Rica this summer doing house-to-house public health surveying, giving care in an acute care clinic, interviewing patients, screening for lice, parasites, diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases, community health education and more.  The trip will cost more than $2000 and she is asking for help to finance it.  Our club has committed $300 and an additional $250 is pledged if club members contribute another $500.  So far, $795.00 is pledged.  For your gift to be tax deductible, make checks to SRC Foundation.
