Today's luncheon speaker, Mike Mangini, Director of Outpatient Therapy at Geer Nursing &Rehab Center, spoke about the services offered by his department and, more specifically, about Trigger Point Dry Needling. This is a treatment technique that utilizes thin, solid filament needles to deactivate & desensitize trigger points in muscles and has very different aims that distinguishes it from acupuncture.
